Conceptual- The Fear Jar

I have always been attracted to hearing stories, listening to people and lately I have started looking at stories within photography. My favorite conceptual artist is Polish photographer, Laura Makabresku.

The set of photos below is my first personal conceptual project. Helped by my good childhood friend, Bianca Vrinceanu, who was not only my model but the person who helped me overcome some of my biggest fears, I was able to transpose my anxieties and fears into photography, using the medium as a metaphor. DSC_7154

Most of the photos in this project are made out of three elements: the jar, which is meant to express negative emotions/experiences, the model which represents me as an individual and the relation between the two. The way the model is placed in relation with the jar is my way of transposing a message.

Each photo has a title corresponding with the feeling is meant to betoken.
